Screwdriver

Being engaged into the merchandising industry in the filed of "Hardware and Tools" at a company for almost 8 years, it makes me have many different knowledge towards it. Moreover, through the process of knowledge accumulation, it also increases my personal interest to this kind of things.

To begin with, I would like to talk about "screwdriver". Everyone must know what it is and the main function of it. Of course, in this post I am not talking about a cocktail called "screwdriver" (Vodka + orange juice). Otherwise, I would rather put it into a new label that may called "food & beverage". If it is a tool, then it must be the same nature as shown in the picture.

Every simplest thing has its complex nature if you have enough knowledge to it. The steel used to make a screwdriver has several major types: Carbon Steel, High Carbon Steel, Chrome-Vanadium Steel, SK2, etc. Different type of steel will has different degree of hardness. It affects the whole performance quality of the screwdriver and of course, it's life & price.

Apart from using different kind of steel, surface finishing is also a crucial reason affecting the price of a finished product. Mirror or normal-polished, Black or Satin-finished, etc. Of course, customer's own taste is also important when we are talking about the surface finishing, or the outlook of a screwdriver.

Handle is absolutely important for the whole product outlook. Material like wood, normal plastic, PVC, rubber are being used widely. Some even mixed with 2 different materials.

For the head of the screwdriver, we have many different types as well. For example, there are Flat, Phillips, Pozi, Hex, Star, etc., depending on how complicated or professional we want to apply.

Being a driver of screws, this hand tool applies his functions accurately, effectively and efficiently. It also accounts for why we know "him" so much.
